Flatbed 2013
64 laser prints in slipcase
30×42.5 x3 cm
Edition of 5

This unbound photo-book has been produced with the use of a digital scanner pressed flat against an unmade bed, the sequence of scans have been printed using an ordinary xerox printer, and filed loosely together into a simple black slipcase.

Altogether these images map out a familiar space; both common and sacred, we all inhabit our beds for more than a third of our lives. Though reproduced and loosely bound (and perhaps shuffled, rotated, damaged and lost) in this way any meaningful complexity of such a private space has been reduced to monochrome abstractions on thin horizontal planes, which in turn creates new complexities in spatial experience.
